The SUNDAY EDIT

It's time for the Sunday edit, and there is nothing more I love about Sunday than indulging in me. Sunday is the perfect day to edit out any of the energy you don't want in your day. I religiously believe that one day of the week should be dedicated to the opposite of your routines, and substituted for the rituals you cherish. Therefore, Sunday fits this description beautifully.
Sunday's are meant to start slow, so that's exactly where we start... appropriately waiting for our body to tell us when it's time to get out from bed. If Sunday's were meant to be rushed they would be like the rest of the week. Sunday's we should shamelessly relish in. While waiting in bed put a face mask on, sip on a mimosa or chew down warm bacon (turkey, if that's what you're into). The Prima Donna lifestyle is the only energy that will do. After this slow morning we suggest an entertaining brunch. Brunch is a fun way for you and your friends to get together at the end of a weekend and rendevous. These Sunday recaps are a perfect opportunity to catch up together. After brunch it's fun to meander into shops for some light browsing. Sundays are also good for cozy movies. However, if none of these are tickling your fancy don't fear.

Maybe caviar and cocktails, or Bellini's and bikinis... Regardless of the every detail, we like to prioritise some sun time. You cannot have a lazy Sunday without a little poolside R&R. And maybe a little company from a Bloody Mary... Grab that skimpy bikini you love, and lather up the tanning oil cause the buns are out. Crack open the bottle of champagne and put those bubbles on ice!
Listen to some peaceful background music, and dust off that book you have been putting off. Beauty is complimented well with brains. I cant speak for most, but Sundays sometimes make me sad because I'll miss family or friends. Theres no better way to cure this than surrounding yourself with people. Depending on how you like to spend your Sunday, whether it be strictly a 'me' time event or if you don't mind having company over; it's fun to cookout! Let's keep it simple with Hot Dogs, and Hamburgers, but if your craving something more exotic go for it!
After a soulful morning and afternoon it's time to vote on an evening itinerary. For me personally, I like to end Sunday with a night out. Sunday isn't meant for anything over demanding, so let's close it with a simply yet classy dinner. Making this a tradition adds glamour to ones weekly routine, adding themes can also be playful. Whether it be French cuisine, Indian food, Asian, or some greasy burgers, end it with a lovely cooked meal. This could be a with friends or it could be left for something more special like a partner, spouse, or date. Either way doll yourself up. Nothing wrong with making yourself feel special on Sunday.

But if you're more into staying home, we could not forget about the simple type. A creative idea for the home body would be a fondue night! Indulge in making your favourite cheese, and dessert dip - post - entree. And you know what goes good with fondue? Board games. Yes people, we can still make board games sexy. If it's cold enough, light a fire why not? It's important to create an environment you want to escape too... We will worry about Monday tomorrow.
To close the evening, we recommend a speed similar to the way we started the day. No need to rush into bed, take your time. Personally, we like to treat ourselves to the most outlandish bubble bath. There is no better way to get a fresh start to the week than soaking in a bubble bath with lit candles. This is a great opportunity to cleanse off any leftover tension, pressure, and tasks from the previous week. Leave it here and don't take it with you. Once our ritualistic soaks is done, we linger into bed... I like to reserve sometime on Sunday to put fresh sheets on my bed. This way, when it's time to relax not only do I feel like I've shed a skin but it also feels like a fresh page for the week.
When you finally get to bed don't spend too much time on your phone or electronics. This time is important to ground yourself and realign. If you have crystals leave them in the moonlight so they can recharge. If you have essential oils use them! Put your favourtite scent in the defuser or rub some on the heal of your foot, the temples of your forehead, and on your heart. This is an effective way to calm your energy down and balance you before bed. Other things we suggest is: journaling, write weekly goals, watch a romantic comedy, drag a cig, play cards, have sexy time, or read poetry. The possibilities are endless, it's now your destiny to choose. Have a restful Sunday!
